Nexus Force Championships

Sorry I haven't been super posty lately, but I've been busy on my prop, and other things for the Championships. These are gonna be good...I was relatively close to the BoNS one, only two minutes behind the winner, but was no where near the survival. But, I will win the Spooky Build. I have a beastly property! Well, until next time,

Ninjago monastary, out!

The Ninjago monastary came out yesterday. However, it was my birthday so it was quite busy and I was not able to update it to get on. Any of you level 45? Have you faced Fracjaw? Comment on it! What rares did you get? What form of Spinjitzu is your favorite.

Ninjago monastary

The following contains the journey of Elementron, sent to scout the Ninjago world for the Nexus Force. Its contents are top secret, and may not under any circumstances be shared with a Skeleton of any kind.

Upon landing on Ninjago, I was greeted by a calm, pleasing scene: the Monastery, a short distance away, and green trees and a fresh breeze blowing in from the south. This tranquil environment gave no indication of the excitement and danger that lay just beyond the horizon.

Skeletons, armed with weapons forged from Crux Prime’s Maelstrom Crystals, are laying siege to the Monastery! While the skeletons are kept out by the Monastery's huge walls, it is only a matter of time before their Maelstrom boulders blast an opening that will provide a way in!

The main gate is blocked and barricaded, but well-guarded side entrances allow access to the main courtyard, home of the legendary Sensei Wu. Sensei Wu has left his post in Crux Prime (assigning it to his faithful ally Neido). From the main courtyard tone can reach the Four Elemental Dojos: Earth, Fire, Lightning and Ice.

At Sensei Wu's instructions, I visited each of the Dojos. The dojos themselves are very impressive. Not only do they house their Ninjago Masters (the famous Ninjas Cole, Jay, Zane, and Kai), but each also contains extensive training areas – attics containing all kinds of devious traps and puzzles. Some of these require two Minifigures to complete!

Training in these Dojo attics is critical, as Sensei Wu has revealed to me that he plans to send Nexus Force members on missions within the caverns below the Monastery, where the Golden Weapons are kept. Finding the entrance to these Caverns will be tricky, but more importantly they will require one to master Earth Spinjitzu before gaining access. Sensei Wu has barricaded the entrance to prevent Skeletons from breaking into the Monastery from below. However, once I’ve mastered the secret earth-burrowing powers of Earth Spinjitzu, I can pass beneath the barricade and find a way into the caverns!

After fighting the Skeletons on the Battlefield outside, adventurers might expect the Caverns to be a cakewalk! This is not true. Bone Wolves, Skeleton Raiders and Skeleton Mad Scientists pose new challenges with new abilities to Nexus Force members who brave the underground! They seek the Golden Weapons and wish to return them to their new master Lord Garmadon!

Braving this Monastery should be a titanic test for the Nexus Force, but with Imagination as their guide, they should pass it with flying colors. Elementron out.

Looks like some level 45 goodness coming! Now, this is pure speculation, but what if they came out with a whole Valiant set? Like, with Valiant helmets and pants and stuff. That would be awesome. Anyway, Fugu out!

  3. Earth, Fire, Lightning, and Ice spinjitzu diciplines.
  4. Meet the other Ninjas from the theme
  5. Way more achievements and quests (U-points!!!)
Enjoy!! This will probably release sometime in early October, though may be delayed to Lego Universes 1st birthday. Enjoy!

How to get Full Bat Lord, or Full Jester

First of all, you will need to set aside a day or two for this. Second, you should go to Crux, over Caldera Mar, and start killing dragons. Having a good team for this greatly speeds the process up. Usually, every 5-10 dragons drop a rare. If your rare is a Bat item, and you're looking for Bat, link it. If you're looking for Jester or both, don't link it if it's the pants. Anything else you can link. Repeat, until you have 2-3 pieces of bat, or you get a duplicate. This is where Bat can get pretty easy, or very hard. If you have a good base of rares to fall back on, then this is not going to be very hard. If you don't, you may be in for a longer ride. Start advertising in the local chat that you have Bat items for sale, or are buying Bat items. Start making trades, but before going into make sure you have enough to pull the sale off. If you get the bat pants, and have another bat duplicate, look for someone selling the Jester hat (if you're trying to get both). Put the pants and whatever rares you've got on hand in, and make the sale. For the achievement side of Jester, go to Aura Mar. This has almost every enemy readily available. Once you're there, see which enemy that the achievements need is most readily available, and kill this one till you have the piece. Repeat until you only need one thing, and just kill that. That's how you get Jester, Bat, or both.

Lego asks us!

In a new survey, Lego asks us our experience, basically how much time we spend playing, and what we would like to see next. Some of the choices? Well, PvP (which I immediately said ten to, which means Put this in the Game Now!), Guilds, New behaviors, and what I think would be property terra-forming, which is altering the terrain, Crafting, Jobs, a new World, More mini-figs, ect. I think that they have their release cycle planned until next year, maybe March or April. Lego is taking on more devs (I believe, I'm not certain.) to handle bigger projects. Or, maybe Lego has all these things in the works, and wants to know which one to release. Which one was winning? Well, before they changed the survey so you can't see the results, New Worlds was winning, in terms of first place votes, with PvP a relatively distant second. If you haven't, take the survey @ https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/poll1a_us.

• The amount of coins dropped when a player is smashed has been reduced by 50%.

• If you try to Best Friend certain players, you will get a message that they cannot because they are playing on Free to Play accounts.

• If you try to trade with certain players, you will get a message that they are unavailable for trade.

Known Issues

• New top tiers for the Nexus Force Commendation and LEGO Universe Commendation achievements will not be complete-able by all players until future content comes on-line.

• Some icons may not appear immediately if “Download During Play” is selected.

• Loading each world will take longer the first time after this update is downloaded, but will be quicker than before on subsequent times.

Unfortunately, I'll be on vacation for two weeks starting Sunday, so I can't enjoy the release for a long while. Oh well, It'll be worth the wait!

SPIDER BOSS!! (And new specialties)

Minifigures,

The time has come to unleash the Power of the Nexus Force!

The Power of the Nexus Force is exploding! In the next few weeks, exciting new additions are coming to LEGO Universe, including new Faction Kits, a new leveling system and Capes! This new update packs quite the punch and is sure to help the Nexus Force in the grand battle against the Maelstrom!

New Faction Kits are Coming!

4 new Faction Kits are coming to help the Nexus Force! The Assembly will be premiering the new Inventor Faction Kit, the Paradox will have the new Shinobi Kit, the Sentinels will have the Space Ranger Kit and the Venture League will have the Adventurer Kit! You can expect to see quirky new gadgets, high tech weapons, close combat skills and swashbuckling moves!

Minifigures will now level up!

A new minifigure leveling system is on the way! Minifigures will be able to level up to 40 levels, unlocking cool new equipment and earning exciting new rewards every 5 levels! Leveling your minifigure is a breeze! All you need to do is earn U-Score by completing Missions and Achievements. It’s as easy as that! Existing minifigures need not worry, as we will automatically determine what level your minifigure is based on your current U-Score, and award any leveling rewards you have earned, too! Make sure to link your items before the Power of the Nexus Force releases! If you missed our previous article on leveling, be sure to read it to be prepared for this new update!

Capes: iconic, heroic and available soon!

With Valiant Weapons, Rank 3 Kits and powerful non-Faction sets like the Explorien Bot set, what else could a minifigure need to complete their battle gear? Oh, that’s right. Capes! Just imagine wearing a full Bat Lord set with a bright red cape fluttering in the wind behind you! What a sight!

The Power of the Nexus Force release is exploding with amazing additions! It’s...almost a bit strange, how much preparation the Nexus Force is going through right now. It’s almost as if they are preparing for an epic battle...of arachnid proportions!

Explorers, heed the call. Get ready for the Power of the Nexus Force now!

Not only that, but I bet 100k coins and a Valiant that the newest mini-game will be.....wait for it....SPIDER BOSS!!! I mean, come on, arachnid proportions??? You might as well just say it. For us beta testers, we have been waiting for this since, well, beta! Oh man, my electric bill is going to be through the roof! My computer is going to be on 24/7!!!! Now, please excuse me while I wait in front of my computer for how much the new specialties are going to cost!!!!!!!!

New Contest Rules

If you haven't heard, in August Lego is splitting the entrances up into to groups: 12 and under, and 13 and up. This makes things a lot fairer, cause you can't expect a 7 year old to do the same as a 40 year. (Just an example, could have happened!) This means that it will be easier for anybody under 12 to win, and somewhat easier for 13 and up. It just makes everything fairer, which is what Lego is going for. But, I STILL WANT UPDATES ON THE LEVELS!!!!!

Mini-Figure Levels!!!

In the next few weeks a major change will be added to LEGO Universe - Minifigure levels! As you complete Missions and Achievements, your minifigure will increase in level – earning new rewards and abilities. This leveling system will provide minifigures with a smoother game play experience and offers even more minifigure customization!

Leveling in LEGO Universe is a breeze! You won't need to spend hours upon hours grinding enemies for experience points. All you need to do is earn U-Score points by completing Missions and Achievements! After the new system goes into place, even Daily Missions will count!

Want some examples? To reach level 2, you must earn 35 U-Score. Level 5, will require 390 U-Score, and so on. These numbers are subject to change based on internal testing. Familiarize yourself with your Passport to quickly find and identify Achievements you can complete to level up!

With leveling also comes leveling rewards! At certain milestone levels (like 5, 10, and 15), your minifigure will earn cool prizes, including up to 40 more backpack slots, a rocking owl companion who is happy to perch on your shoulder, a permanent speed boost to your minifigure, and exciting new equipment!

As part of the new leveling system, another big change is coming. All in-game items will have a level requirement. This means that in order to use or buy this item, you must be the specified level first. For example, the Visored Racing Helmet has a level requirement of 20, the Crux Planet Shield has a level requirement of 25, and the Spike Hammer has a level requirement of 30. As you level up, your minifigure will be able to unlock more items, allowing you customize your minifigure to be exactly how you want it to be!

Concerned about how this change will affect your minifigures? Worry not! All existing minifigures will automatically have their level calculated by their existing U-Score. The U-Scores of existing Achievements and Missions are having their U-Score balanced for this new system – your minifigures will receive credit for every Achievement and Mission they have completed in the past . After the new system goes into place, we will recalculate your existing U-Score and transition you smoothly into the new system.

Any items that have already been linked to your minifigure will not be restricted to the level requirements. This means that if your U-Score places you at level 19, but you already have a linked Spike Hammer from your past level-free life, you can still use your existing linked Spike Hammer with no worries! Remember, you must have the item linked, not just in your backpack or vault – but linked!

Stand by for more breaking news to come! In the meantime, crack open that Passport and start hunting U-Score points like there’s no tomorrow!

Discuss this article on the message boards!

Wow!! This is great! That means we can all get more rewards for something we've already done!

Hey there, adventurers!

It’s been over a month since Nexus Tower opened its doors to the world, unleashing an arsenal of funny, funky, and formidable new items on LEGO Universe. Micro City models, Mole Whackers, Radios that rain Pianos from the sky – the headquarters of the Nexus Force sells all the wacky, zany, powerful, hilarious, and generally awesome gear and models a Minifigure could ask for. To collect them all, you’ll need to earn your own personal fortune.

Sounds tough, doesn’t it? We admit, earning coins takes focus, but creating a powerful financial empire in LEGO Universe is easier than you might think! Here are a few ways to turn your lonely money tree into a flourishing coin orchard, in no particular order. Our averages were taken using Minifigures with Rank 3 gear and no Valiant Weapons. Your results may be different!

1. Complete Missions

• Daily missions will not only earn players a pretty decent amount of coins – they’ll also help players unlock bag space, vault space, increased Life Points, Imagination Points, and countless Achievements with their own valuable rewards. The daily missions in Nimbus Station should not be overlooked, as the gem packs they reward add up – and fast.
o Average coins per hour – 8,700

2. Cannon Cove Shooting Gallery

• Our team found that the Cannon Cove Shooting Gallery earns only slightly less coins than grinding Maelstrom Horsemen with a team in Forbidden Valley. Aspiring Minifigure entrepreneurs should definitely visit Cannon Cove now and then in search of doubloons!
o Average coins per hour - 12,500

3. Battle of Nimbus Station and Avant Gardens Survival

• The Battle of Nimbus Station can make you rich! If you’re looking to earn some serious coins, then head into the minigame without a team and continue replaying it. You may not pass many stages, but 100% of the coins you squeeze out of early-level Stromlings will go into your pocket. If you’re hunting wild Achievements, then most definitely head in with a team – you’ll have a much better chance of reaching the Four Horsemen with friends.
o Average coins per hour (solo, Battle of Nimbus Station) – 12,000
o Average coins per hour (group, Battle of Nimbus Station) – 8,200

• Not only can Avant Gardens can be a fun distraction from grinding, but it is also one of our favorite minigames to use for contests. Spend some time honing your Stromling-squashing skills and not only will you earn coins and Achievement awards – you’ll also be well prepared for the next official Survival competition!
o Average coins per hour (solo, Avant Gardens Survival) – 3,600
o Average coins per hour (solo, Avant Gardens Survival) – 6,500

4. Maelstrom Dragon Instance

• They may not drop many coins, but Maelstrom Dragons hide some extremely rare items in their treasure hordes. …items which can be sold to other players for an impressive profit! Stop by this minigame now and then – especially if you need a break from ownin’ Ronin at the Paradox Refinery (just a stone’s throw away) – and you could find yourself in possession of a super valuable rare item like the King’s Crown!
o Average coins per hour – 3,250

5. Selling/Trading/b>

• If you pick up a rare item you’d like to sell, head to the Marketplace subfolder of the Message Board and start a thread asking the community how much they think it is worth. LEGO Universe players are famously friendly and helpful – you’re sure to get a safe, helpful answer back in no time.

• Once you have a price in mind, advertise your item in Nimbus Plaza, Nexus Tower, or online in the Marketplace section of the Message Board. Allow your customers to haggle, but don’t settle for a price you know is too low. Once you make the sale, head out and start grinding again in search of a new product.

We in the Community Team hope that these tips go a long way towards helping you build up your nest egg. Have any money-making tips of your own? Share them on the message board, and check back next week for more advice on how to earn coins!

In order to keep the Nexus Force well prepared for battle against the Maelstrom, Vanda Darkflame has requested that Paradox scientists release weekly reports on Maelstrom (and Skeleton!) opponents during the month of June (and early July). Each week, we will release a short bio on one villain from each of the four main combat zones on Crux. Check back weekly to ensure your intel is up to date!

History: Though they themselves are not infused with Maelstrom, the evil Skeletons have plenty of reason to be interested in the chaotic energy surging through the Darkitect. Hailing from the haunted Underworld of Planet Ninjago, a Skeleton expeditionary force led by the grizzled General Nuckal recently landed on Crux Prime in search of a resource that could help them conquer the peaceful Minifigures and seize control of their planet: Maelstrom Crystals. When forged into armor and weapons, these Maelstrom-infused minerals are the only element that can defend the Skeletons against Spinjitzu: the ancient, mystical martial art taught to worthy Minifigures by the wise Ninjago master, Sensei Wu.

Led by Sensei Wu’s nefarious brother, the twisted Underworld Lord Garmadon, a Skeleton horde recently succeeded in overrunning the Ninjago Monastery, Sensei Wu’s home. Desperate to reclaim the surface of Ninjago from this Skeleton invasion, Sensei Wu brought the last remaining chunk of his beloved Monastery to a stalwart group of heroes he had heard tales of from travelling explorers – the Nexus Force. He landed on Crux Prime, but was followed by General Nuckal, who was immediately intoxicated by the dark power of the Maelstrom, realizing its potential as a weapon against Spinjitzu.

If General Nuckal succeeds in shipping countless megatons of Maelstrom Ore back to planet Ninjago, Lord Garmadon will be most pleased; if their Spinjitzu becomes ineffective, Sensei Wu and his disciples will be hard-pressed to push back the massive Skeleton invasion of their homeland.

Stats: 18 Life Points, 0 Armor

Attacks: Basic Strike: A Skeleton Miner will swing his pick at opponents for 5 damage.

Sloppy Spinjitzu Spin: Using a chaotic and undisciplined form of Spinjitzu, a Skeleton Miner will charge up and spin wildly for 6 damage, after which its head will continue rotating like a top, causing extreme dizziness.

Tactics: After sensing the courage and goodness of the Nexus Force, Sensei Wu has vowed to teach all of its members the basics of Imagination Spinjitzu if they wish to learn it. Imagination Spinjitzu should always be utilized against a Skeleton force.

When engaging a Skeleton Miner, be ready to jump out of the way of the way of its Sloppy Spinjitzu at a moment’s notice. Inversely, using pure Imagination Spinjitzu against Skeletons is super effective. Equip as much Imagination Spinjitzu gear as you can when preparing to face Skeletons of any rank – normal weapons do considerably less damage than Imagination Spinjitzu gear against Skeletal foes, and Imagination Spinjitzu armor will drastically reduce damage caused by their attacks.

It has been found that Skeletons are particularly fond of music in all its forms. While they are highly aggressive and belligerent while listening to Growlspeakers, they respond peacefully to the sound of friendlier tunes. Rebuilld smashed Growlspeakers into ragtime record players and nearby Skeletons will become entranced, leaving them vulnerable.

Charging up Imagination Spinjitzu and releasing it near a group of Miners and their superiors will most likely smash the Miners immediately, leaving only their officers, weakened by the blast, to smash. Minifigures using the Imagination Spinjitzu Staff should easily be able to easily smash the remaining Skeletons one at a time, earning them much more loot than if they target Miners alone.

Mardolf the Orange swears that his latest invention, the “Holographoid Skeleton Powerclutcherizer” will disable Skeletons by projecting a hologram of an attractive female Skeleton batting her eyes and blowing kisses in their direction. The Paradox highly doubts the success of this invention, as it is not yet known whether or not Skeleton women exist.

Discuss Skeleton Miners on the forum!

Finally, we learn something about skeletons. Unfortunately, only the stats of Miners. Oh well.

Free-to-Play announcement comes with Ninjago reveal!

In the press release about the Free-to-Play announcement, Lego dropped the hint about a new Ninjago world in the works. Well, not specifically a world, but that's my best guess. The we will be able to fight in the Underworld, with the new Spinjitzu Katana. That's the only weapon I'm sure will be released when this comes. I saw it in the game's files. We will probably see a mace, or nun-chucks, or something like that. Stay tuned for more releases from Lego!

New site

Right now I'm working on the development of a new, improved guide. This one will have more features, less junk, should load faster, and with no ads. This one will be independent of google, giving more flexiblilty and options. Also, if you allow cookies, then there may a Faction Headquarters, which would give you all the updates on your faction, and others if you wanted. It would also give you easy access to your Faction's stats and specialties. That's it for now!

In order to keep the Nexus Force well prepared for battle against the Maelstrom, Vanda Darkflame has requested that Paradox scientists release weekly reports on Maelstrom opponents during the month of June. Each week, we will release a short bio on one villain from each of the combat zones in LEGO Universe. Check back weekly to ensure your intel is up to date!

History: When the Darkitect first visited Forbidden Valley, he used his chaotic power to infuse the armor of ancient warriors with dark Maelstrom energy. These shadowy figures, called Dark Ronin, whispered to the Darkitect the secret location of the Great Tree ninjas. With dark tones they taught him the hidden method of visiting their dreams.

Intrigued, the Darkitect explored the dreamworld of the Forbidden Valley ninjas, searching high and low for creative inspiration that he could use against the Nexus Force. He learned of mighty dragons – proud, winged creatures that soared high above the land and lived in harmony with Minifigures during ancient times. Impressed, the Darkitect pillaged these good dreams and injected them with chaos, transforming them into terrible nightmares. With vengeance these new beings tore through the skies of Forbidden Valley, raining disorder and destruction on the ninjas scattered below. These were the first Maelstrom Dragons.

Three Maelstrom Dragons, Burnshout, Blastbreath, and Torchblight, laze in their eyrie in Forbidden Valley today, protecting their hordes of treasure. Their perch is located just past the Paradox Refinery in Forbidden Valley, where the super-soldier Brick Fury holds Maelstrom forces at bay.

Stats: 300 Life Points, 250 Armor Points

Attacks: Fire breath: A long-range sustained Fire attack that continually deals 1 damage to all Minifigures in its path.

Slam: A short-range area attack that deals 2 damage to nearby Minifigures and launches them a short distance backwards.

Flap and Burn: Maelstrom dragons will sometimes use their wings to fling Minifigures backwards, following up by blasting them with a heavy fireball attack – a combo dealing 5 damage.

Fireball: A smoldering fireball hurled from Dragons that deals 5 damage to any Minifigures near its point of impact.

Ronin Summon: Burnshout, Blastbreath, and Torchblight are aided in battle by a fourth Maelstrom Dragon circling their perches overhead, which will occasionally summon Dark Ronin to protect its allies. Four red shuriken outlines will singe the ground and then erupt, releasing Dark Ronin who will then enter the fight.

Tactics: Do not engage a Maelstrom Dragon alone unless you are armed with full Rank 3 Faction Gear. Valiant Weapons are not necessary, but will prove extremely helpful for Minifigures attempting to take on a Maelstrom Dragon without the help of a team.

Minifigures working in teams have a strong chance of smashing a Maelstrom Dragon if they work together. When a Dragon blasts Fireballs or Fire Breath at one Minifigure, the rest of the team should attack the dragon from the other side, using the distraction to their advantage. Similarly, one team member should focus on smashing Dark Ronin when they are summoned, allowing other team members to continue pummeling and distracting the Dragon free from harassment by Ronin assailants.

When its armor is completely depleted, a Dragon will become stunned and reveal pieces of a Ravencloud Guardian statue from its treasure horde. The Guardian statues are the ancient troll protectors of the Forbidden Valley ninja clans, and will immediately distract the nearest Dragon when built. This turns the Dragon around, exposing a soft spot on its backside which is marked by a red X. Attack this point quickly and your victory is assured. Building the Ravencloud Guardian costs 20 Imagination.

Kenjin the Wise swears that in his youth he once dumbfounded seven Maelstrom Dragons at once by performing his patented “Super Ninjafunk Helicopter” breakdance move in their lair. This is impossible, as Maelstrom Dragons were created several decades after Kenjin famously broke his hip at a secret ninja breakdancing competition held over half a century ago, and should not be reattempted.

Lego posting another bio, probably the only one I'm going to use. Recording every hit on a dragon is almost impossible. However, that said, I don't think it has 250 armor. That seems a little steep. What do you think? Comment below.

Another Bio...

n order to keep the Nexus Force well prepared for battle against the Maelstrom, Vanda Darkflame has requested that Paradox scientists release weekly reports on Maelstrom opponents during the month of June. Each week, we will release a short bio on one villain from each of the four main combat zones of LEGO Universe. Check back weekly to ensure your intel is up to date!

History: Far more imposing than Pirates or Admirals, Stromling Apes are the greatest threats facing the Nexus Force in Gnarled Forest. Eager for his forces to win the fight against Captain Jack Knife and his Venture League crew, the Darkitect sought to create an ally for his Stromling Pirate Armada early on in his reign. Looking deep into the jungle for creative inspiration, the nefarious villain discovered a thundering ape and mimicked its colossal form, twisting its image into that of a menacing, aggressive Maelstrom servant.

Truly imposing foes, Stromling Apes have taken up defensive positions in strategic locations around Gnarled Forest. One particularly menacing Ape blocks the main pass into the Pirate Camp. He has proven more than a match for lightly armored Nexus Force members in the past – new recruits wearing anything less than Rank 2 Faction Gear should rely on tactics, planning, and teamwork to best this fiend and pass into the Pirate Camp.

Some Stromling Apes have been reported to carry parrots looted from pirate travelers ambushed while passing in and out of Jack Knife’s Camp. Defeating an Ape in possession of such a feathered friend will allow you to inherit it.

Impressed with how effective Stromling Apes became at pestering the Nexus Force, the Darkitect later returned to Gnarled Forest in search of lieutenants for his growing Maelstrom legion. Searching deeper into the jungle than before, he discovered two towering, massive silverbacks, stronger and more fearless than any other Apes in the forest. Each was the proud leader of its tribe. Calling on the forces of chaos, the Darkitect stole their forms, perverting their essences into two of the most aggressive, black-hearted fiends in the Maelstrom – Kinga Hurl and Roo Morgg.

Stats: 80 Life Points, 25 Armor Points

Attacks: Ground Pound: Short Ranged Area Attack that deals 5 damage to nearby targets. Strikes 3 times per attack. To aid adventurers without Rank 2 Faction Gear in their fight against Apes, the Venture League has buried heavy anchors in some of the Apes’ favorite spots. When an Ape Ground Pounds, the pieces of these anchors will be shaken loose to the surface, after which they can be quick-built and dropped on the Ape’s head for very high damage.

Exploding Boulder Throw: Long Ranged Attack that deals 5 damage to targets around the point of impact.

Tactics: Minifgures with Rank 1 Faction Gear should not attempt to fight a Stromling Ape alone, as both of its attacks will likely smash you in one hit. If you are wearing Rank 1 Faction Gear, the Paradox recommends gathering a team before charging a Stromling Ape. Not only will teaming up make it easier to smash the Ape, but it will also allow all team members to share in its valuable loot.

Using careful timing, wait until the Ape has finished all three strikes of its Ground Pound, then charge. Once you cause 25 damage, the Ape’s armor will break, causing it to become dazed and confused for an extended period of time. While the Ape is befuddled, build the anchor quickly – it will usually smash the stunned gorilla.

Unfortunately, not all tactics are to be trusted. For instance, Bert Scurvyburp has a theory that if you eat bananas near Stromling Apes, they’ll become temporarily distracted. This is not an effective strategy, unless your goal is to become a large banana pudding. And there are no Factions in the Nexus Force for banana pudding. At least not yet.

Agh! Lego's trying to run me out of business. However, the jokes on them. I've had the tactics, hit points, and damage on the Ape for over 6 months. That means everyone who saw the Lego Universe Guide has known this for over 6 months. Half a year too late, Lego!

First Look at New Specialties?

Nexus Tower is out, and the faction vendors are: The new specialties! Take a look at this:

Is LEGO giving us some hints as to what's to come? Yes, I think so. In other news,  the rich just got o WHOLE lot of stuff to do with their money. There's so many new items and weapons on sale in the Tower. In the Assembly area, there's a staff the shoots GUIDED LASERS. Up to three. Only bummer? 85k. Wow.

Weapons Re-balanced

All the regular faction weapons are being re-mastered and re-balanced. The Sentinals are now more tank-like. Their weapons now anger enemies more than normal ones do. Now Paradox Sorceror tracks enemies, making it easier for them to 'snipe'. Space Maruaders now do more damage, making them more like shock troopers. Assembly's time for recharge has been reduced, and the bulpitors and turrets have been balanced, as have the thowk. Shoulder-pad power-ups have had their re-charge time cut by 3/4s. It's even more of support group now. The weapons are more stronger, with a three damage combo. Venture has more of a damage distributer now, with there power-ups more powerful.

Nexus Diary 3

The Sentinel Faction area has been driving me crazy! Just as we get a computer up and running, an old one crashes. Finally, I realized that there was a bit of a pattern. Not in just the computers, but all of the problems we've had! The Paradox toilets, the Venture holo-projectors, even the speed stripes on the ground! It's been the Maelstrom! Someone has been donating Maelstrom-infected bricks. This will never do.

In other news, my lab is almost finished – I can't wait! I have called it the Nexus Core, which is quite fitting. The Imagination Nexus flows through the center and I have plenty of equipment to run tests.

It seems like whatever influence the Maelstrom had during construction is starting to diminish. There are still three Imagination pipes that we still need to finish – maybe later.

We are getting very close. The Paradox zone is now complete (the toilets now work!) and my workstation is up and running! Everyone seems to be pleased! The launch pads are the last piece to go online. I can't believe how quickly we've finished the Nexus Tower! All of your brick donations made it possible!

Valiants In-Depth

Valiant Weapons. The pinnacle of faction engineering. Two-handed behemoths that utterly devastate any and all maelstrom. Cutting through swaths of maelstrom will now be done with the greatest of ease. At a price. A high, high, price. Specifically, 150,000 coins. *shakes head*. That's a very high price. 500 tokens, people can handle. 150k? Might take a long while. Any ways, have you checked out the knights damage? Holy Fugu Fish!!! 30 damage? Butterscorch will be shaking in her boots! Duke's been busy! And the broadsider? Blows the rutcarver away! These may be the best thing to happen to the factions since the lowering of prices in beta, but Lego should have been more balanced. And, the better weapon is corresponding to the type of specialty the faction leader is (except paradox...they're always the exception :). The broadsider does more damage, has better powerups, and is for a buc, Like Haelstorm. Same with the  power-jouster. And the serratizer. Hmm. Interesting.

Valiant Weapons Released! (Or, Announced)

Adventurers,

We have some exciting news for you, direct from Nexus Tower! We are pleased to announce that Dr. Overbuild and the other Faction Leaders have completed their final designs on Valiant Weapons! The Faction Leaders discovered a way to harness the power of Imagination in its purest form, and it is incredibly powerful. The Faction Leaders believe that you are now ready to handle the awesome power of Valiant Weapons – but you’ll need both hands to do it!

The Faction Leaders designed 8 new Valiant Weapons, one for each Faction Specialty. The Valiant Weapons were created to work with Rank 3 Gear and will also count towards your Rank 3 Multi-Item Bonuses! Very soon, you will be able to purchase Valiant Weapons from your Faction Vendor in Nexus Tower for 175,000 coins and 500 Faction Tokens.

For such a price, what can you expect from Valiant Weapons? A very unique feature of the Valiant Weapon is that a single swing will affect all nearby enemies. Yes, all nearby enemies- that is the power of Pure Imagination! Now you can easily take on wave after wave of enemies! Each Valiant Weapon will also give you additional Armor and Imagination Points, and some of the Weapons even conjure crazy new creations to fight by your side!

Hael Storm has created The Broadsider for Buccaneers and The Rutcarver for Daredevils!

Dr. Overbuild has created The Serratorizer for Engineers and The Wingreaper for Summoners!

Vanda Darkflame has created The Doomslicer for Sorcerers and The Wormholer for Space Mauraders!

Finally, Duke Exeter has created The Powerjouster for Knights and The Samuraizor for Samurais!

While you are saving up for your Valiant Weapons, Achilles Plutarch has other great gear to buy! His new shop, located in the Sentinel shopping area, has a slew of new gear to buy! He’s got Heavy Staffs, Scarlet Scythes, and more! You’ll be able to put enemies to sleep, while protecting yourself from 10 points of damage or even heal your teammates for 10 Life Points!
